HOST named as finalist at prestigious Somerset Business Awards
March 30, 2021

We’re proud to have been named finalists in the ‘Investing in Somerset’ award at the Somerset Business Awards 2021, announced at a virtual ceremony, last week.

Recognised by the judges, HOST was praised for its dedication to supporting the area’s economy through its regional supply chain and its focus on local employment at both the Hinkley and Sedgemoor Campuses, that accommodate the construction team working at the EDF Energy Hinkley Point C project.

Campus Operations Director at HOST, Mark Flinton, said: “To be shortlisted in this award, against stiff competition, for our contribution to Somerset’s economy, is testament to our hardworking team and a reflection of our ‘local first’ philosophy. We strive to create a positive impact wherever we operate and our dedication to creating a local supply chain and workforce emphasises our commitment to leaving a positive, lasting legacy.”

Now in its 16th year, the Somerset Business Awards have grown to become the county’s biggest and most prestigious celebration of the very best of Somerset’s businesses and their exceptional accomplishments, and they are the only county-wide business awards in the county.
