ABOUT HOST
HOST operates purpose built campus accommodation sites for the teams working on the construction of the EDF Energy Hinkley Point C (HPC) project.
Our campuses provide well appointed single occupancy rooms as well as extensive communal facilities including bars, restaurants, gyms and sports pitches.
HOST’s philosophy of “local first” focuses on building strong, vital relationships within our community and supporting local businesses. Currently, 95% of our team is recruited from the surrounding area.
Since opening our doors in June 2018, we have reached significant milestones, and our team has consistently embodied our core values and mission: “A good night’s sleep means a good day’s work.”
We are deeply committed to the growth of our team. Our Learning and Development department works tirelessly to support apprentices, offer diverse training modules to enhance skills, and invigilate the CITB and NOCN tests at our HOST Test Centre.
Our commitment to local sourcing is unwavering. We’ve set a goal of sourcing 90% of all goods and services from the Southwest of England. We are especially proud to have awarded £105 million worth of contracts to local businesses operating within 50 miles of our campuses.
